Job Summary:
Parkside Kia is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter Person to join out team. This role is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in identifying, ordering, and receiving the correct automotive parts and accessories. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Kia vehicles, excellent customer service skills, and a high level of accuracy in inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales:

Assist retail customers and service department technicians in finding and purchasing the correct Kia parts and accessories.

Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers in person, over the phone, and online.

Upsell additional parts and accessories to customers when appropriate.

Maintain strong product knowledge of Kia parts, accessories, and aftermarket options.
Inventory & Ordering:

Process customer orders, ensuring accurate selection and timely delivery.

Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of commonly used parts.

Track special orders and notify customers when parts arrive.

Conduct regular inventory checks to prevent discrepancies and minimize shrinkage.

Work with vendors and the dealership’s parts manager to order and receive parts efficiently.
Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with the service department to fulfill technician part requests quickly and accurately.

Communicate effectively with wholesale customers and internal departments to ensure a seamless parts process.

Ensure all paperwork, invoices, and transactions are properly recorded in the dealership’s system.
Operational Excellence:

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts counter and storage area.

Follow dealership and manufacturer policies and procedures regarding parts handling, warranty claims, and returns.

Stay updated on Kia’s latest models, parts, and technology through training and self-study.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Parts Counter Person, preferably in a Kia or other franchise dealership.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with OEM and aftermarket auto parts, cataloging, and ordering systems.

Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Computer Proficiency: Experience using dealership management systems (DMS), electronic parts catalogs (EPC), and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and move throughout the dealership as needed.

Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
