What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Grounds Supervisor position at Parkview Health?
Summary: Directly supervises, provides technical direction and training to Certified Grounds Mechanic(s) and Groundskeepers for the care of turf, trees, ornamentals, other landscape elements, exterior housekeeping and maintenance of Parkview Health grounds. Takes over the responsibilities of the Manager Grounds in his/her absence. Accountable for monthly metrics along with increasing efficiencies, driving a culture of safety, and reducing costs.
Education: High school graduate or GED. Two year college degree in Agronomy, Landscaping, or Horticulture, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must have valid Indiana Herbicide and Pesticide Applicator License and a valid unrestricted State driver's license.
Experience: Must have a minimum 2 years supervisory experience in the area of ground maintenance; or the equivalent of 4 years experience in a comparable field. Must be able to lift 80 lbs. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
