What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial System Analyst position at Parkview Health?
Summary: Provides general software and network support for the Financial Services area. Performs standard financial analyst functions such as month end general ledger duties, preparing journal entries, analyzing financial statements and making adjustments where necessary, preparing supplementary schedules, and creation of balance sheet account reconciliations. Responsible for maintaining the general ledger system. Provides general software and network support for Financial Services area. Manages the design and implementation of automated financial systems and provides support/guidance to system users. Responsible for maximizing current financial systems applications for continuous process improvement. Performs a variety of other duties relating to maintaining records and accounts within the Finance department. Serves as a resource for the Finance Division in regards to financial software applications and financial processes.
Education: Knowledge and skills normally obtained through graduation from a college or university with a four-year degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Systems.
Licensure/Certification: CPA desired.
Experience: Must have a minimum of two years experience in accounting, finance, operations analysis, or auditing, preferably in a hospital setting. Preference for Oracle Cloud experience. Highly accurate and analytical with a strong attention to detail. Advanced analytical skills. Strong software application capabilities and IT systems experience. Displays the ability to see broader picture versus straight transactional responsibilities. Good written and verbal communication skills.
