What are the responsibilities and job description for the Premium PT position at Parkview Health?
Summary
Responsible for evaluating, planning and conducting a physical therapy program for medically referred patients with physical disabilities; utilizing modalities of therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular and neurodevelopmental techniques, massage, pneumatic and mechanical equipment and the physical agents of heat, cold, light, water, electricity, and sound. Supervises PT Assistants, technicians, students, patients and family members in carrying out the program or selected areas.
Education
Must be a graduate of a school of physical therapy, holding a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in physical therapy or certificate in physical therapy.
Licensure/Certification
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana as a physical therapist. If eligible for licensure, must obtain license within 3 months of employment. Must be certified in CPR with American Heart Association; and maintains certificate, according to expiration date. This can be accomplished after employment. If assigned to drive company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required. If assigned to drive personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver’s license.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, combined lift 100 pounds and push 300 pounds.
