Resident Services Director
Parkview Senior Living, located in Colville, Washington is currently seeking a Resident Services Director to join our team.
Resident Services Director Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating, directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan.
- Assure that staff treat residents with dignity and respect.
- Assure staff follow facility policies and procedures.
- Assist in creating a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances resident care and quality of life.
- Provide support and direction for the nursing/wellness department, including but not limited to managing staffing schedules, assisting in assessment and care planning, assisting with task management and setting priorities, providing education, obtaining appropriate supplies/medications.
- Monitor and assure that incidents, accidents and resident/staff complaints are reported and documented correctly. Assist in determining root cause, and in initiating preventive measures/interim safety plans. Assure communication with all responsible parties, RN and administration.
- Facilitate communication between community and providers, responsible parties and/or outside vendors as needed to ensure resident care needs are appropriately met.
- Assure complete and accurate documentation through spot-checking and on-going supervision.
- Respond to, assist with and document facility emergencies.
- Consult with Executive Director and RN in the provision of continuity of care to residents. Discuss staffing issues and emergent or on-going problems.
- Exercise hiring and terminating authority.
- Facilitate communication between care givers/med techs and Executive Director and RN
- Assist in ensuring adequate staffing for the wellness department.
- Discipline unit staff according to Human Resources and wellness department standards when necessary.
- Assist in direct resident care and work as a care giver/med tech, as necessary.
- Prepare/administer performance reviews for care givers/med techs in consultation with Executive Director and RN; provide correction/re-education to care givers/med techs as needed.
Resident Services Director Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience as a Medication Technician in an Assisted Living Setting
- Licensed CNA, HCA or LPN
- Nurse Delegation and Delegation focus on Diabetes certification.
- Minimum one-year supervisory experience in long term care or assisted living
