Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Maintenance / Engineer to join our team! We are seeking a team player who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion and that will take pride in their work.

The Maintenance / Engineer position performs work involving the skills of two or more maintenance craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, tile work, cleaning, carpentry, gardening, painting and plastering of the building structure by performing the following responsibilities below.

Responsibilities

• Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler repair; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, troubleshooting and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
• Takes equipment readings and ensures that all equipment and machinery is properly inspected and operational.
• Performs minor repairs and general maintenance cleaning duties as instructed by manager / supervisor.
• Ensures that lighting is in working condition throughout facility.
• Prepares routine maintenance and makes general recommendations for continued use to supervisors and / or Management.
• Identifies and repairs equipment and / or areas that could be hazardous immediately and does daily reports to Supervisor / Management.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Ability to prioritize work projects as it is assigned or as requests for service calls.
• Performs clean-up and preservation of equipment rooms in the facility. Ensures that assigned work area is maintained in a safe condition.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager / Supervisor.
