Overview

The Shop Manager is responsible for assisting the owner with hiring/developing staff, managing day-today operations, establishing a productive and efficient work atmosphere, and meeting financial/operational targets. To be successful in this role, the shop manager should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping other people develop and be productive, while ensuring excellent guest experiences and shop profitability.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the shop consisting of the Dough Den, Kitchen, Hospitality and Barista ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and mentor the team, including conducting employee orientation, initial training and ongoing coaching.
- Interview potential candidates for various positions within the shop.
- Manage cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms for inventory purchases.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and develop strategies for improvement.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and support.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements
- A fantastic attitude and a drive to succeed.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in a restaurant environment preferred .
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Proficiency in retail math to assist in inventory management and sales analysis.
- Experience in cash handling procedures with a focus on accuracy.
- Familiarity with wireless sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
