Kennywood - Operations Office Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties

  • Manage day-to-day the office operations of the Operations team and any other assigned departments
  • Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Kennywood’s core values
  • Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.
  • Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
  • Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
  • Ensure office equipment is maintained and serviced as needed
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance for the office space
  • Assist in onboarding new employees
  • Address employee inquiries and provide general support
  • Review weekly schedules
  • Monitor labor budgets and office budgets ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Develop, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide training and updates on policies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments and staff members
  • Maintain accurate records of office activities, expenses, and employee information
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information
  • Organize department motivation and department activities
  • Manage electronic and physical filing systems

Departmental Duties

  • Ensure office equipment is maintained and serviced as needed
  • Act as subject matter expert for the department to answer any questions that employees or guests may have
  • Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks and data entry
  • Enter and receive Purchase Orders into Workday system
  • Keep assigned reception and office areas neat, clean, organized, and sanitary
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Provide cross-functional departmental training and updates to Park policies
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments and staff members
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information
  • Assist with the organization and execution of departmental events and employee engagement activities
  • Manage electronic and physical filing systems
  • Assist with financial and budgeting activities for assigned departments
  • All other duties assigned by leadership

Education & Work Experience

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered
  • 1-2 years of previous office management, customer service, or administrative work experience
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus
  • Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to portray a positive, professional attitude
  • Must be proactive, a quick learner, and collaborate well in the workplace
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a wide range of diverse personnel and guests
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to use office technology and equipment, such as PC, software, and copier
  • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computer
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time throughout the workday
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more

Working Conditions

  • This role will be primarily based in an office setting with frequent interaction with other outdoor park locations
  • Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
  • Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments
  • Subject to dust, dirt, and cleaning/laundry chemicals
