Roles & Responsibilities
The Park Services Supervisor is directly responsible for the upkeep of all facilities including the restrooms, buildings, and midways. This position is responsible for hiring, scheduling, daily placement, inventory, documentation, and addressing day-to-day issues and concerns.
Roles And Responsibilities

- Provides creative resolutions to issues and situations that arise in a positive manner.
- Inspires other Park Services team members through positive affirmation and guide by corrective action with the Park Services Manager
- Participates in the recruitment and orientation of new team members, as needed
- Assists with training Park Services team members on properly performing their jobs
- Acts as a coach and mentor to less-experienced team members
- Participates in addressing performance issues and/or disciplining team members, whenever needed
- Creates a safe environment for team members and guests by maintaining team member compliance with company and industry best practices, policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the daily cleaning/nightly cleaning protocol set forth by the Park Services Supervisor is being completed
- Oversees the Park Services team members and make sure they are following policies issued by the Park Services Supervisor and Operations Manager
- Ensure all employees are given breaks in a timely manner as well as adhering to Connecticut Labor Laws
- Assist with scheduling for Park Services team members
- Assist with timekeeping for hourly team members
- Manages a smooth rotation of team members through the day.
- Handles any escalated guest concerns and criticisms with a positive attitude to deescalate.
- Becomes knowledgeable of and able to perform all duties of Park Services team members
- Proactively monitors all assigned area(s), assisting guests and employees whenever needed
- Courteously resolves customer concerns, including lost children
- Ensures employees have necessary supplies to perform duties
- Audits bathroom, eating areas, and overall park cleanliness
- Performs whatever duties are necessary to ensure park cleanliness
- Continuously monitors parks for safety hazards (e.g. wet floors, tripping hazards, etc.)
- Maintains records of all work completed and safety inspections
- Maintains high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA, DEP, ADA, and other applicable standards and regulations.
- Collaborates across all departments to deliver exceptional guest experience!
- Perform any additional duties asked by park leadership

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Must have flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must work well with other team members and be able to interact with our guests in a fast-paced environment
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with all park guidelines
- Must comply with all uniform policies
- Ability to demonstrate proper use and maintenance of equipment (brooms, chemicals, etc.)
- Ability to demonstrate excellent guest service and customer focus
- Ability to address multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
- Requires standing for long periods and the ability to walk long distances within the park
- Ability to kneel, stoop, or twist for extended periods of time
- Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures and weather elements, including high heat, humidity, direct sunlight and cold temperatures
- Must be able to carry, push, pull, lift, hold objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, squatting and reaching above shoulders
- Ability to notice details that are within walking distance
- Frequent interaction with all outdoor and indoor areas of the park
- Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat, cold, humidity, dust, rain and other weather conditions
- Fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities and challenges
- Subject to constant repetitive motion
