Parraid, a products company, is wholly devoted to design, engineering, sales, and support of telemetry data systems and tactically oriented mission-critical communications solutions. We are headquartered in Hollywood, MD, with a great team, well-established product lines, and a growing client base.

The Director of Strategic Engagement will play a pivotal role in driving Parraid’s growth by identifying new opportunities, fostering key partnerships, and expanding the company's influence within the defense and aerospace sectors. This position demands a seasoned professional with deep industry knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to align organizational objectives with client needs and market opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and execute engagement strategies to enhance Parraid's visibility, brand presence, and market share within the defense and aerospace industries.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across government agencies, military organizations, and private sector partners.
    • Act as the primary liaison between Parraid and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Business Development:
    • Lead efforts to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the defense market, positioning Parraid as a leader in innovative solutions.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to develop tailored proposals, presentations, and campaigns for target audiences.
  • Program Advocacy & Representation:
    • Represent Parraid at industry conferences, events, and forums to promote its capabilities and vision.
    • Advocate for Parraid’s solutions and technologies to enhance the company’s strategic positioning.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including product development, engineering, and sales, to ensure alignment between customer needs and Parraid’s solutions.
    • Provide feedback from the field to inform product innovation and strategy
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better inform opportunity plans.
  • Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business.
  • Generate progress reports as required.
  • Participate in relevant company and industry events.

  • Ability to demonstrate / present systems and software products to clients.
  • Some proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics CRM software, or related enterprise CRM tool, highly desirable.

Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
  • 10 years of experience in the defense, aerospace, or related industries, with a focus on strategic engagement, business development, or program management.
  • Deep understanding of defense communications, mission systems, and aerospace technologies.
  • Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills alongside sharp business acumen.
  • Skilled in business case development and able to take the lead when collaborate for projects and pipelines.
  • Sound negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • A critical thinker with solid leadership and task prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with equipment used by customers.
  • Familiarity with customer strategic goals and needs.

Job Location:

  • Parraid headquarters is in Hollywood, Maryland, United States.
  • At minimum, candidate must be located near a desirable travel gateway.
  • Ability to work regularly from Parraid headquarters office is highly desirable.

  • Passport required.

US Citizenship Required

Must be able to qualify for a secret or higher clearance.

Salary Range

$130,000 - $150,000
