Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blast Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blast engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and possess a PE (Professional Engineer) license. Key Responsibilities: Develop blast design plans and specifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards. Conduct site assessments and gather necessary data for blast design calculations. Perform blast simulations and modeling using specialized software. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure blast designs meet project objectives and safety standards. Prepare comprehensive reports, drawings, and documentation for client review and regulatory compliance. Provide technical support during the implementation and execution of blast operations. Stay updated on advancements in blast engineering technology and industry best practices. Manage complex explosive safety Scopes of work to develop and submit explosive site safety plans to the Department of Defense Explosive Safety Board (DDESB). Familiarity with ASCE, ACI, UFC, and DENIX (DESR) design criteria. Expected travel approximately 25% Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field). Minimum of 5 years of experience in blast design engineering, preferably in [mention relevant industries, e.g., mining, construction, demolition, etc.]. PE (Professional Engineer) license is required. Proficiency in blast design software (e.g., BlastX, ConWep, ESS, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, SBEDS.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
