Job Description: Parsons Mission Solutions Team is looking for a sharp Senior Operations Support Specialist to maintain proficiency of Flight Operations Procedures (FOP), spacecraft subsystems, ops tool, and ops concepts. This Senior Specialist will support routine, special and contingency operations during on orbit operations, mission readiness and Satellite Operations for a unique satellite system and Colorado Springs, CO. As such, this is an onsite role with monthly rotating shift work. Responsibilities: Perform duties assigned to the operations team. Support operations to include satellite launch and early orbit operations, on-orbit operations, and end-of-life Perform payload mission, scheduling, data trending and analysis, real-time operations, and spacecraft anomaly identification and resolution Support and coordinate with Operations Director and mission partners in the daily coordination of the mission to include anomaly resolution, system conflicts and daily status as required Responsible for scheduling and supporting ground system sustainment and system upgrades Required Skills/Abilities: Active Top Secret security clearance Bachelor’s and no experience, or Associates and 5 years of relevant experience, or no degree and 10 years related technical experience Experience with orbital operations and mission management Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team Analyze activities associated with both ground operational systems and spacecraft operational systems Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools Experience with Ground equipment/RF equipment Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with the spacecraft, software, hardware, integration and development Clearance requirement: Top Secret #CJ Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
