We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented SVP of Business Development to join our team! In this role you will have primary responsibility for business development, strategy leadership and direction for the Security and Mission Solutions Sector within Parsons. You will promote the Company’s expertise and experience to federal clients and teaming partners and will travel 50% to cultivate new and ongoing business development endeavors. You will also regularly interfaces with Corporate and Business Unit level management and client personnel. -Position is ideally located in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area with remote locations near major Parsons hub or customers as a possibility. We are seeking a dynamic business development executive, with a proven track record of leading and closing $100M opportunities, to provide leadership and strategic direction to drive the expansion and growth of our Security and Mission Solutions Sector. The Sector’s focus is to be the go-to solution provider for our strategic customers by delivering technology-enabled solutions in the areas of biometric and identity solutions, integrated situational awareness, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, counter unmanned aircraft systems, technical security and mission support and Mission Centric logistics services. What You'll Be Doing: Leadership: Coach, Train and Motivate a Senior Business Development Team Ensure that the Business Development organizational structure is efficiently planned and adequately and staffed for growth. Direct activities of sales business development and capture management staff. Manage and measure the performance of subordinate BD managers and recommends promotions, compensation changes and incentive payments as appropriate. Growing the Business: Develops and measures against key metrics, including competitive win rates, re-compete win rates, B&P spend, IDIQ vehicles/task orders dollars and numbers won, and individual BU sales manager performance. Ensure the new and recompete business pipeline is sufficient to meet or exceed the sector’s requirements. In concert with the Sector Operations SVP, manage and run sector level pipeline reviews to ensure quality opportunities. Manage and run sector level opportunity reviews. Supports wins strategy and bid/no-bid decision. Makes recommendations for major opportunities through the Win Strategy Review process. Ensures early and comprehensive capture strategy development which follows a well defined Parsons Business Acquisition Process (BAP). Executes both short and long-term business and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Support the development and execution of Security and Mission Solutions Strategic Plan and the development and implementation of annual Business Plan as well as refresh of annual business planning efforts. Keeps abreast of the global market environment, including political, industry and procurement trends. Identify and cultivate partners that will provide value to the company position for both market and individual benefit. Grow Customer Intimacy: Directs marketing campaigns to establish and cultivate key customer relationships. Ensure and work with Business Development and Operations Teams establish and maintain customer intimacy throughout contract lifecycle with a focus on recompete or capture efforts. Addition responsibilities: Support and Oversees contract negotiations, including non-disclosure, teaming and technology sharing agreements with clients and partners within the markets being developed. Identifies and evaluates potential acquisition targets, of both companies and contracts. Reviews and approves non-disclosure, joint venture and teaming agreements. Negotiates and maintains agent agreements. Leading key, complex and large pursuits directly Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Relationships: Reports to: SVP BD, Engineering Systems Key Relationships: Internal: Enterprise-wide Business Development & Capture Teams Business Leader Peers Functional Leaders (i.e. Contracts, Procurement, Finance, etc.) External: Department of Defense, State Department, DHS, USACE Intelligence Community Desired Outcomes: Success in this role will be measured by the following: Achieve a consistently high book-to-bill ratio, indicating robust new business acquisition relative to current project completion rates. This shows effective pipeline development and successful contract wins. Significantly improve the win rate for new business opportunities, demonstrating effective market expansion and penetration strategies. Maintain or enhance the win rate for contract renewals, reflecting strong customer relationships and satisfaction with services delivered. Elevate the success rate in converting identified new business opportunities into contracts, indicating strong proposal development and competitive positioning. Ensure the successful allocation and management of B&P to support priority bids. Increase market recognition for Parsons' core competencies. Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance Parsons' market position and offer competitive advantages in key areas. Lead the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices in business development strategies, positioning Parsons as a leader in the industry. Internally, his/her ability to: Establish credibility and serve as a trusted advisor to operations and engineering leadership. Serve as a highly visible leader with a “people-first” approach; in doing this, s/he will: Be a servant leader. Cultivating an innovative, diverse, equitable, and sustainable culture. What Required Skills You'll Bring: BS degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or Business (or equivalent) 15 years of successful relevant experience in Strategy, Business Development, Profit and Loss Management, Capture, Pricing, and Proposals, particularly in federal contracting and the Defense and Intelligence customer market. Demonstrated success in leading growth in complex, multi-dimensional organizations ($1B ) with revenue accountability for $500M . Proven track record in business capture and proposal process for large-scale government programs. Superior EQ and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships and consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain or currently possess a DoD security clearance, Top Secret clearance. Existing clearance would be preferred. Strategic vision and innovative thinking, with a hands-on approach to business advancement. Proven leadership skills, with a history of building high-performance organizations and fostering a culture of approachability, engagement, and customer/employee focus. Salary Range: $215,600.00 - $400,400.00 This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
