What we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security’s cybersecurity reporting and response efforts. This position requires a proactive professional with expertise in investigating, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents while establishing and performing critical cybersecurity functions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in triaging, analyzing, and managing analytic production requirements to strengthen cybersecurity operations and enhance organizational processes.
What you will do as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst:
Indications and Warning:
- Triage, analyze, and contextualize cybersecurity events to deliver actionable reporting that notifies DHS’s cybersecurity response services.
- Assess and prioritize incidents, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to enable rapid response efforts.
Analysis:
- Provide descriptive and predictive analytics to identify environmental changes and adversary activities that impact triage criteria.
- Correlate and contextualize events to improve situational awareness and operational decision-making.
- Develop and refine processes to analyze vulnerability (environmental) and threat (actor) reports.
Qualifications:
- US Citizen (the nature of our contract requires employees be US citizens).
- Top Secret clearance required.
- At least 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience analyzing both vulnerability (environmental) and threat (actor) reports to enhance organizational cybersecurity processes.
- Strong understanding of triage processes, incident response methodologies, and cybersecurity reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency in tools and techniques for data correlation, analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity policies, regulations, and frameworks relevant to government operations.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic operational needs.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a plus.
- Experience in federal contracting or working in a government-related cybersecurity environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to be on site in Arlington, VA.
