Partner Technology, a well-established custom A/V and residential and commercial security solutions provider in the Athens area, is currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. Duties
- Install or upgrade fire/burglar alarms in commercial and residential buildings.
- Test and repair alarm systems already in place
- Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code.
- Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues.
- Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Protect and maintain company equipment.
- Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Skills
The successful Alarm Technician will possess the following skills:
- Minimum 3 years of Alarm experience
- Proficiency in system design for various alarm systems.
- Experience in fire alarm sales and understanding of fire safety regulations.
- Knowledge of construction inspection processes related to alarm installations.
- Background as a service technician or field service representative.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an emphasis on electrical systems.
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems and their components.
- Capability to build custom solutions based on client specifications.
- NICET certification preferred
- Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
