SUMMARY
We are seeking a personable, detail-oriented, and organized real estate professional who has a passion for both people and numbers. In this role, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for direct production of appraisal reports on office assets for the Office Valuation Team. The day-to-day role would involve conducting thorough research and financial analysis for the senior team members, identifying and verifying comparable properties, entering and maintaining the Partner property database, conducting market surveys, surrounding area analyses, and other discretionary internal research projects.
Job Location
This role will be located in our Chicago, IL office. Hybrid work-from-home opportunities may be available upon request, but it will be required for this role to be in office 2-4 days each week, especially during training.
RESPONSABILITIES AND DUTIES
- Prepare appraisal reports of office assets, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Background research on the asset’s physical details and property history
- Market outreach and research
- Analysis of rent rolls and leases
- Analysis of historical financial performance
- Comparison analysis of comparables
- Developing opinions of value via the cost, sales, and income approaches, inclusive of the direct capitalization approach and discounted cash flow analyses
- Making informed conclusions based upon outputs from the preceding market research and analyses
- Communicate and support findings to both internal and external parties
- The preparation of a polished work product consistent with the internal and external standards
- Take professional education classes towards appraisal licensure
- Monitor ongoing trends in office real estate, the valuation of office real estate, and within the markets in which the team is active
- Various ad hoc responsibilities in support of the office team which advance the team’s overall goals of delivering a premium work product and well-supported, credible valuations of office assets
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 – 3 year’s professional services or real estate background
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year university
- Strong ability to synthesize information from various sources and communicate succinctly both orally and in a written capacity
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to constructively receive feedback
- Self-motivated with a curiosity and interest in learning
- Ability to self-manage multiple projects at once with strict adherence to internal and external deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to travel to asset tours
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone and via emails
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen

Salary Range
The salary range for the Sr Analyst position is $45,000-$70,000. Contributing factors towards this salary range include experience level and candidate location
