WAGES: $35 / hour clinical hours, $18/ hour non-clinical hours
Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health community-based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny County. Based in Pittsburgh’s South Side, we provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services, Service Coordination, Student Assistance, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Family Based Mental Health programs. ACI has earned certification from the Council On Accreditation.
Responsibilities
The Kid’s Club Therapist is responsible for facilitating the Kid’s Club Group, an evidenced based group therapy for children ages four through thirteen who have experienced intimate partner violence within their family. Responsibilities
The Kid’s Club Therapist is responsible for facilitating the Kid’s Club Group, an evidenced based group therapy for children ages four through thirteen who have experienced intimate partner violence within their family. Complete documentation and collect data on outcomes. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Attending trainings on the therapeutic model
- Implementing the Kid’s Club Group to model fidelity, with no adaptations or changes
- Facilitating group therapy sessions with women and children ages 4-12
- Implementing activities designed to reduce children's internalizing and externalizing behaviors and harmful beliefs about the acceptability of violence and enhance their ability to cope with violence by learning safety skills, conflict resolution skills and emotional regulation skills related to violence
- Providing a safe place for children to discuss the impact of violence on their lives
- Fostering a warm and trusting environment in which children can share their fears and worries
- Administering measurement tools according to the schedule
- Collecting and reporting collected data
- Communicating and collaborating with the group leader of the Mom’s Empowerment Group and Child Care Specialist
- Attending meetings, supervision, and trainings as directed

Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, counseling or education
- Three years of experience delivering mental health services
- Experience facilitating therapeutic groups
- Experience with people who have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV)
- Experience working with families who have experienced trauma
- Excellent engagement, clinical and communication skills
- An understanding of the dynamic of families with children who have experienced or witnessed intimate partner violence in their home
- Valid Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle required
- Act 33, 34 and FBI clearances required
USD $35.00/Hr.
Salary : $18 - $35
