DUTIES
Help oversee the operations of the office, including maintaining current employee personnel files, answering phone calls, preparing, and assists maintaining the Agency's payroll system, and compiling statistics necessary for the Administrator.
Partners In Care Hospice is a hospice provider in the Placer / Sacramento / Nevada and El Dorado counties whose mission is to provide compassionate care and educate the community about the benefits of hospice. We are looking for a Hospice Nurse to work with our inter-disciplinary team including physicians, hospice aides, chaplain, social worker, and volunteers to provide holistic care to our patients, families, and caregivers. The Hospice nurse is required to provide point of service electronic charting and documentation at time of patient visit or admission. Ability to operate a computer and / or a tablet PC, and proficiency with Windows- based software programs, is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer phones, receives all referral / intake information.
Maintain all staff and contract personnel files.
Maintain master files of personnel evaluations and makes copies on monthly basis for the appropriate department supervisor.
Check common working files for Medicare Coverage and verification of the benefit period.
Order supplies as needed.
Assists in keeping all evaluation forms current.
Acts as Receptionist for the office, answering inquiries of general nature from applicants, visitors, and professional staff, assisting them in a friendly and cooperative manner.
Assists in miscellaneous bookkeeping functions.
Assists to send deficiency notices to personnel.
Reviews bills from vendors for approval. Submits bills to appropriate payer sources.
Act as Receptionist for the office, answering inquiries of general nature from applicants, visitors, and professional staff, assisting them in a friendly and cooperative manner.
Tracks admission, discharge, certification, and recertification dates on all patients.
Assists with audits.
Assist the full-time and part-time payroll procedures when needed.
Assume various duties as directed by the Administration in the area of personnel and accounting.
JOB CONDITIONS
Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines.
It is primarily a desk job which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping and walking, as well as telephone communication.
Travel may be required, by car or airplane to local, out-of-town or state seminars, conferences or meetings.
It requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION
The job requires the ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other related office equipment.
COMPANY INFORMATION
Has access to all patient medical records and patient financial accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience as a coordinator or office manager, preferably in the health field.
Should be a skilled organizer able to manage office files, log books and staff schedules.
Must possess light secretarial skill and have a polite telephone manner.
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
