As an Optometrist, you will work with a full staff support system and provide exceptional eye care services to our patients. - Provide comprehensive eye examinations, including assessments of visual acuity, refraction, and ocular health.
- Collaborate with the optometric team to diagnose and manage various ocular conditions and diseases.
- Prescribe and fit contact lenses and eyeglasses based on patient needs and preferences.
- Work closely with our full staff support team, including optometric assistants and technicians, to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to process claims and verify patient coverage.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and answering any questions they may have.
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Strong knowledge of ocular diseases, conditions, and treatment options.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and performing pre-testing procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
