Job Overview :
The Inbound Auditor in a warehouse setting is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt and documentation of goods entering the warehouse. This role involves performing audits on incoming shipments, inspecting the quality and condition of products, verifying inventory levels, and ensuring proper storage procedures are followed. The Inbound Auditor plays a critical role in maintaining accuracy in inventory records, reducing errors, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receiving & Inspection :
Verify the quantities, descriptions, and conditions of goods against purchase orders or other relevant documentation.
Ensure all inbound shipments are properly documented, including shipping receipts, packing lists, and inventory updates.
Assist in updating the warehouse management system (WMS) with accurate information about stock levels and movement.
Ensure all inbound processes comply with warehouse safety standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Communicate with warehouse personnel, suppliers, and other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with inbound shipments.
Participate in root cause analysis when discrepancies or quality issues arise and recommend corrective actions to prevent future problems.
