Partners Professional is currently assisting our client located in Mount Joy PA seeking candidates for a Sales Manager opening. Our client is a well-known manufacturer of corrugated packaging and containers. The territory area includes Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Delaware. The selected candidate will have experience in various methods and business development with prospective, new and existing customers. The Sales Manager will be tasked with developing and maintaining new as well as existing account portfolios. Your development includes researching and servicing customer needs, working with purchasing managers, stakeholders and warehouse specialist for packaging requirements, inventory, cost-benefits, and consulting. This position is a direct hire placement.
Responsibilities :
Researches and identifies corrugated packaging opportunities by evaluating businesses and packaging needs.
Researches and analyzes sales options within and beyond assigned areas for prospective customers.
Recommends solutions for alternative packaging items and products, focusing on service and quality, to prospective customers through personal contact.
Understand innovative designs structurally and graphically.
Provide information pertaining to market driven price adjustments and terms negotiations.
Provide motivation to build strong customer relationships.
Traveling is necessary (While most is local, must be prepared and agreeable to travel distance for certain tasks as required).
Make deliveries to customers if needed.
Grow business through development of high performing teams to expand and acquire new and existing accounts.
Become familiar with procedures and policies, train team members, and enforce proper protocol for procedures and policies.
Conduct informational and review meetings and provide regular training sessions with the sales team.
Hold sales team accountable for achieving sales goals and objectives.
Attending organizational and business networking events to enhance customer base and introduce company. Include members of sales team.
Provide training with teams to research and maintain customer order information, quotes, and inventories.
Work with Accounts Receivable department to provide customer profiles, credit information, review Accounts Receivable status, and discuss invoicing issues
Experience and Skills :
3-5 years’ experience in outside sales in the corrugated Packaging Industry. Heavy preference will be given to those from the corrugated packaging industry.
Experience and direct contact with multiple and various manufacturing industries, understanding the complex nature of the planning, manufacturing, and structure of large national organizations
Corresponding technical skills, particularly sales related
Experience managing territories
Multitask management, handling pressure and adaptability to sudden changes.
Interpersonal and conflict management skills
Travel required
Experience managing sales(service) teams
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
Valid Driver's license : clean driving record
Our Client is a privately held company operating for 40 years in South Central PA. They are offering this role at a competitive pay rate along with a full benefits package, including life insurance, 401K with employer match travel reimbursement with mileage, bonus and commissions for production and sales goals. This position does not include a relocation package at this time
