Responsible for the daily coordination of the Teen Speak NJ/Statewide Parent and Professional Engagement Program (S-PEP), and coordination and implementation of Teen Speak and MITEY Change in the northern NJ region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Coordinate the daily operations of the Teen Speak NJ/Statewide Parent and Professional Engagement Program (S-PEP).
- Establish and maintain partnerships with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and others in the Northern Region.
- Provide ongoing support and monitor progress toward objectives in Subawardee Monthly Check-ins. Troubleshoot issues. Manage communication between Subawardees to communicate upcoming deadlines and collect necessary data for reporting.
- Conduct Teen Speak Training of Educators (TOE) for partner organizations. Secure Memoranda of Understanding. Ensure fidelity to the curriculum. Collect information/data for all Teen Speak cohorts and outcomes.
- Implement/facilitate Teen Speak cohorts in the northern NJ region, ensuring cohorts in all counties. Implement with fidelity. Administer and collect process and outcomes evaluation tools. Coordinate monthly Teen Speak NJ Subawardee meetings to ensure Teen Speak targets are reached annually and that cohorts are offered in all 21 NJ counties.
- Act as the point of contact for partner sites.
- Identify professionals throughout the northern NJ region who work with pre-teens and teens to take the MITEY Change training. Coordinate with the subgrantees to ensure professionals from the 3 regions of the state are identified and participate in the training.
- Coordinate and facilitate a statewide steering committee focused on the development of a statewide Teen Speak NJ website.
- Assist Possibilities for Change with the development of the Teen Speak NJ website. Collect and post statewide Teen Speak and MITEY Change cohort information, including registration methods. Share statewide resources for parents and professionals.
- Coordinate and implement a quarterly statewide Stakeholder committee, including youth, PCGs, and professionals with input and member recruitment from subgrantees.
- Complete and submit accurate quarterly reports toTeen Speak NJ program manager for the northern NJ region in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and host Teen Speak NJ focus group/interviews in the northern NJ region;
- Assist Program Manager with daily management of the budget, placing orders, and tracking program expenses.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings by funder.
- Ensure all data collection tools are maintained for confidentiality.
- Conduct all necessary marketing and outreach for recruitment.
- Handle other assignments as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A master's degree with a concentration in public health, health sciences, or related fields
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- This position requires the employee to own a functional vehicle, maintain a valid driver’s license and updated vehicle registration and insurance at all times.
- Experience working with parent populations, is preferred.
- Experience and skill with supervision, outreach, program development, and group presentation/facilitation.
- Demonstrated understanding of public health issues, parenting, and adolescent populations.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
