Description

The Senior Management Analyst position interfaces with private, public, and nonprofit clients to advance the integration of racial equity principles in the pursuit of enhanced organizational practices. Analyzes business processes and operations to identify areas that systemically support on-going biases in processes and outcomes. Offers recommendations that foster organizational growth which reflects values and principles aligned with racial equity. Collaborates internally and externally with teams and departments to understand and identify organizational strengths and weaknesses. Assesses standard operating procedures and compiles reports on proposed efficiencies. Communicates improvement recommendations. Prepares training documentation for new procedures. Tracks and measures process compliance and implementation. Performs work under general supervision. Independently can handle moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of racial equity, process and organizational design, and other relevant subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and / or mentoring to internal and client groups. Ability to build collaborative relationships and work as a team player. Ability to identify and seek needed Information / research skills. We are seeking someone who is a team player with knowledge and experience in strategy consulting, business development, training, facilitation, with a strong client service orientation. The position reports to the Just Solutions Director Manager. Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research trends, patterns, and opportunities as directed by the Group Director
  • Familiarity with the processes associated with methods of co-inquiry, qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Strong writing skills used in support of writing case studies and project reports of findings
  • Advanced presentation skills used to share project findings
  • Organize and store project approaches, summary findings, project insights, and data for use in future projects
  • Schedule, lead and actively participate in project team meetings
  • Ability to lead, track and report progress on multiple projects
  • Facilitate and lead internal / external meetings, and lead with influence
  • Ideation, support project planning, tool design, project execution coordination
  • Propose changes in scopes of work to reflect organizational competencies and capacity
  • Support proposal responses to RFPs
  • Liaise with finance department on tracking project budgets including accounts receivable and payable
  • Available to work in-person
  • This is not a remote position
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends, when necessary
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This job currently has no supervisory responsibilities; however, we anticipate there being 1 or 2 direct reports as our unit grows
  • Position Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a social science area such as business, education, public administration, social work, political science, psychology, planning, law or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to review, envision, and draft detailed work scopes that will guide client interactions
  • Demonstrated effort to advance racial equity concepts, through intentional learning or lived experiences
  • Personal passion for dismantling structural racism, community power-building and growing the movement for racial equity
  • Experience in community engagement, meeting facilitation, building and maintaining community and organizational relationships
  • Demonstrated strong critical thinking and writing skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized with ability to advance self-directed work
  • A systems-thinker with an interest in identifying and analyzing policies, systems, and environmental change issues to advance racial equity
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through with minimal supervision and ambiguity
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively across all organizational levels
  • Highly proficient in using technology for project management, marketing and reporting systems, creating, and managing documents, databases, spreadsheets, communication flow, and online collaboration tools
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite for creating documents, presentations, databases, spreadsheets, and communication flow
  • Proven ability to build relationships, trust and deep connections with diverse people and groups, communities across all races, ethnicities, genders, generations, and identities
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, both written and verbal (including public speaking)
  • Ability to work in a hybrid role involving both in-person (mostly Atlanta Metro area) and some work from home
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends, when necessary
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of consulting or applicable experience with business development and project management experience, particularly in city planning, transportation planning, and / or workforce planning
  • Master's degree in business, education, public administration, social work, political science, psychology, planning, or related field
  • Relationships with corporations, local nonprofits, government agencies and philanthropic entities that are interested in advancing racial equity
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Google Drive cloud-based storage platforms
  • Ability to travel overnight when necessary
  • Reputation for integrity, ethical behavior, loyalty and trustworthiness
  • Problem-solver who can assess situations, gather relevant information, and recommend possible courses of action
  • Strategic thinker who can analyze data, consider various plans of action, forecast outcomes, and make sound decisions
