Overview
The Enrollment Coordinator will serve as the initial point of contact for the enrollment function of the agency. As such, it is imperative that this role can effectively assess and triage caller's need to the appropriate source. Excellent customer service skills are required of this position to ensure a prompt, kind, and helpful experience for the caller.

Responsibilities
- Acts as the central point of contact for individuals and families calling to inquire about entry into services
- Gathers initial information from the caller and assesses if the referral needs to be directed to one of the regional Enrollment Specialists, or if a reference to a different service type is appropriate
- Enters initial demographic data into enrollment platform; Enrollment Coordinator will mail or email enrollment packet specific to the Enrollment Specialist’s Region for new inquiries.
- Support the Enrollment Specialist with making engagement calls to ensure families follow through on sending the documents needed for the enrollment process.
- Logs call activity and notify regional Enrollment Specialists of individuals coming onto their queue
- Maintains detailed knowledge about OPWDD services and processes, as well as other service systems and community support in general
- Maintains a positive and helpful demeanor as the initial point of contact for individuals and families
- Must be able to spend most of the day on the phone and possess the ability to operate in a fast- paced environment
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred
- 2 years of experience working with people with IDD (preferred)
- Strong communication skills including verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills also required
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
