LOCATION : This position is mostly remote, with an expectation to be in the home office and schools when required.

Launched in 2007, the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools’ mission is to transform schools to revolutionize school systems, empowering all students with a high-quality education. The Partnership is a non-profit, in-district partner to LA Unified, not a charter network. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Partnership serves 13,550 students across 20 LA Unified schools in Boyle Heights, South Los Angeles, and Watts.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Partnership is seeking a self-motivated and results-driven Manager of Institutional Giving to provide strategic support in its private and public fundraising efforts. The Manager of Institutional Giving will serve as a key member of the organization’s Development Team, overseeing grant management, facilitating grantmaking and reports, managing logistics for events and meetings related to fundraising and stewardship, and overseeing the administration of incoming gifts. This role will act as a liaison between the Development, Finance, and Program Teams, ensuring the Partnership delivers on the goals, objectives, and activities outlined in grant proposals, while also sharing the Partnership’s impact with funders by submitting reports in a timely manner. The Manager of Institutional Giving assists with general fundraising activities, including prospective and current donor research, preparation of briefs for donor meetings, donation and acknowledgment processing, communications, and event support. This is a full-time, year-round position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward strategic and mission-aligned grant opportunities.
- Manage the grant writing and submission process, including writing grant proposals, developing grant budgets, and compiling supplemental materials.
- Oversee grant agreements, reporting, and documentation, ensuring compliance with individual grant requirements.
- Implement and monitor grant management tracking and calendar systems to ensure timely and accurate submissions to funders.
- Oversee the facilitation of grants across teams and functions through meeting facilitation, project management, and cross-team communication.
- Maintain an organized electronic filing system for all aspects of the grants cycle.
- Collaborate with the Finance Team to oversee tracking of grant funding and allocation to award budgets.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting salary range for external candidates is $76,606-$82,079. The Partnership’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion extends to our compensation practices. The exact salary for this position is set through the Partnership’s compensation policy and is dependent on the candidate’s relevant skills, experiences, and organizational tenure.
