What Will You Be Doing?
On a daily basis the candidate would be performing a wide range of activities:
- Deploying and supporting cyber security solutions
- Telephone and remote support of existing installations, troubleshooting system configurations, network, and software/OS issues
- Perform new customer installations, configuring Windows based hardware, software and security solutions at sites ranging in size from a complete VMware Virtual Environments with Microsoft Virtual servers and a few hundred devices to an office with a single server and a dozen Desktops.
- Most of the support is performed from our offices in Hawthorne, NJ. Periodically the candidate will go to customer sites to perform installs.
What You Need for this Position?
- All employees are required to be fingerprinted, have a background check and take ethics training. The candidate must have a reliable vehicle and reside within 45 minutes of our office in Hawthorne, NJ. Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and communicating well in English.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) is required.
- After hours and weekend support / projects will be required from time to time.
5 to 8 years of experience with:
- Kaseya Security Products
- Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory
- SonicWALL Firewalls and security products (SNSA – preferred)
- VMware 6.5 and later
- Microsoft 365.
- Veeam backup and replication and Veeam O365 Backup
- Good networking understanding and experience (TCP/IP, DNS, File Sharing and Mapping, communications)
- At least 5-8 years of experience in technical helpdesk support role
- Knowledge of mobile phone OS (iOS, Android…)
- Technical Certifications (e.g. CompTIA A , Network , MCSA…)
- Knowledge of PC and server components

- Verbal and written communication skills are essential

- Ability to work independently as well as interactively with other team members is essential

- Utilize the ticket management system to record, update and resolve tickets from the Helpdesk
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Ability to understand and exhibit sense of urgency.
- Ability to understand what ownership means and to take ownership of responsibilities / tasks / clients that have been delegated by management.

Salary : $65,000 - $100,000
