JOB SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator will support high school counselors in implementing and maintaining the School Counseling Program. They will ensure that program expectations and responsibilities are clearly communicated and understood by all relevant personnel. The role involves collaboration with various departments to address challenges and develop solutions. The coordinator will lead and participate in district initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes and program effectiveness. Additionally, they will provide training and professional development opportunities for school counseling staff, and serve as a liasion between school counselors, administration, and other departments.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education, or related field that aligns with area of assignment
- Training or experience in administration of instructional, instructional support programs, or experience that aligns with area of assignment
- Three years’ related professional experience in the area of assignment
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Florida Educator Certification or licensure that aligns with the area of assignment or equivalent leadership training, licensure, or experience as required
