What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician II - Utilities position at Pasco County?
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques based on electrical theory and occupational hazards and safety precautions of the electrical trade.
- Ability to use standard hand tools in accomplishing minor electrical repairs.
- Works from blueprints or sketches.
- Performs simple arithmetic and standardized practices.
- Ability to learn applicable codes and regulations.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects.
PHYSICAL SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device (dolly, cart, etc.) or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Ability to differentiate between colors for identifying color-coded wiring. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, climb and walk frequently.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Five (5) years of experience as an electrician.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
