What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Nature Camp Supervisor position at Pasco County?
Responsible supervisory position in community recreation work at a County recreation facility.
Development of a comprehensive program of safety and supervision of facility, program staff and participants (ages 7-13), generating assigned records and reports, and dealing with the public. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. Performs related work as required.
- Candidates must possess maturity of judgment, proven leadership ability, and experience in teaching/leading recreation activities or summer recreation program work.
- Skill in generating assigned records and reports.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have a minimum of two years of college and three (3) seasons of experience working in a summer recreation or nature camp program. Candidates may substitute two (2) seasons of summer recreation for one (1) year of college.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Valid CPR and First-Aid certificates preferred.
