Full-time Group Home Supervisor position available supporting adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) at our group home in Port Richey. $19 per hour.
The Arc Nature Coast is a non-profit organization that provides individually tailored quality supports and advocacy for individuals with disabilities and their families, to promote their self-determination and inclusion in community life throughout their lifetime.
You will support our customers with IDD in a small, home-like residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall team performance, ensuring staff maintain a healthy team process in carrying out their duties and in consistently improving quality.
- Provide direct support to individuals residing in the home in order to maximize their capacities, foster greater independence, and facilitate community inclusion.
- Assist with required record keeping, e.g., personal financial accounts, medication sheets, fire drills, menu records, writing individual progress reports and other documentation as required.
- Assist with various household management, e.g., meal planning, grocery purchasing, housekeeping and maintaining compliance with common health and safety standards.
- Participate in team meetings, provide back-up to team members, utilize individual skills to enhance the ability of the team to deliver quality supports.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, professional development, etc. as required.
- Perform other related duties as required of the Residential Team.
Your work as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) will make a difference in someone's life. - Valid Florida driver license and clean driving record
- Minimum age of 21 with minimum 3 years' driving experience
- Minimum 1 year experience with individuals with IDD or related field of nursing, education, social, behavioral or rehabilitative services
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Pass Level 2 and Local background screenings and drug test *
- Possess English language skills in reading, comprehension, writing and speaking
- Be reliable, self-motivated and a team player
- Ability to think quickly and act calmly in an emergency
- Moderate proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Possess physical stamina required to help individuals ambulate
