JOB GOAL
Responsible for the Project Management (PM) coordination districtwide in order to perform PM duties including status communications, task management, roadmap and dashboarding for PM communications. The goal is to lead the multiple projects and contribute to and help organize the Project Management Office (PMO) for overall project management in a high scope and complex workflow and automation environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Independently leads, plans, organizes, directs and manages multiple complex technology projects / programs, including planning, controlling, risk mitigation, issue escalation, budgetary control, and execution of implementation activities.
- Prepares status reports and provides regular updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, governance groups.
- Closes out projects and collects lessons learned to improve PMO processes.
- Defines project objectives and develops business cases for proposed projects, including requirements elicitation, drafting project-related documents, creating time / resource estimates, cost estimates for proposed projects and change management of feature requests.
- As a recognized expert in Project Management, mentors and advises other IT resources and project managers on project management methodologies and practices.
- Identifies, defines and implements continuous improvement efforts within the PMO, and helps define standards, policies and practices.
- Monitors and handles security incidents and problems and holds a vote regarding the criticality assessment.
- Responds to project issues, concerns and will create recovery plans as needed for project roadmaps and timelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
