Job Description
Job Title : General Manager (GM)
Location : Torrance CA
Position Overview :
Reporting directly to CEO, the General Manager (GM) will play a key role in bridging store operations and back-office functions, ensuring smooth communication and leadership across all departments. This role requires strong business acumen, leadership, and bilingual communication skills (English and Japanese). The GM will also support the company's expansion efforts both within the U.S. and internationally, acting as a strategic leader in new store openings, product development, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities :
- Start with a 3-month training in-store to fully understand store operations, management, and menu recipes.
- Lead by example by implementing the company's philosophy and strategy, becoming a role model for other staff members.
- Identify and address operational issues in existing stores, driving improvements independently.
- Conduct negotiations with existing and new business partners in both English and Japanese.
- Maintain effective communication with superiors and subordinates, balancing store and office functions with strong leadership.
- Act as a liaison between the store and back-office, ensuring smooth operations and effective leadership within the company.
- Oversee new store development in different states (including product procurement and business setup) and contribute to future store openings on the East Coast.
- Manage new business initiatives, including product development, design, and sourcing goods from Japan and Southeast Asia.
- Foster international expansion, developing strategies for growth in other countries as part of the company's global vision.
