A global chemical resins manufacturer is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth in the imported resin sector.
This role requires a strategic sales professional with strong commercial negotiation skills, the ability to build lasting client relationships, and a proactive approach to identifying and expanding market opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience in polymer compounding and strong industry connections within the interior and exterior building and construction sectors.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, leveraging persuasive sales techniques to secure long-term partnerships.
- Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations to optimize profitability and market positioning.
- Travel domestically and internationally to visit client factories, build relationships, and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Work closely with distributors, accompanying their representatives on client visits to strengthen partnerships and enhance sales effectiveness.
- Attend internal meetings, provide market insights, and contribute to business development strategies.
- Serve as a liaison between U.S. and Japan teams, utilizing both sales expertise and technical product knowledge to align business objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for expansion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemical-related field is preferred.
- Over 3 years of sales & business development experience in resins, plastics, or chemical materials.
- Proven experience in polymer compounding and an understanding of material applications.
- Strong business network within the construction and building plastics manufacturing sector in the U.S.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Willingness to travel flexibly (domestically and internationally) to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
