A leading international manufacturer is seeking a Senior TAX Specialist to join its newly established North American holding company based in New Jersey.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax & Accounting Specialist to manage U.S. and Canadian tax compliance and support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of direct and indirect tax processes, financial reporting, and general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file U.S. federal, state, and local direct and indirect taxes (e.g., income tax, franchise tax, sales & use tax, property tax).
- Handle Canadian federal and provincial tax filings including VAT.
- Manage information returns (e.g., Forms 5471, 5472, 1099, 1098).
- Support tax reporting, audits, and monthly/year-end closings.
- Perform AP/AR functions, bank/credit card reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial data entry.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing and interact with auditors to provide necessary documentation.
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, including finalizing monthly transactions and invoices.
- Provide general administrative and reporting support to the finance department.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 3 years general accounting knowledge with experience in all facets of Tax and Accounting activities.
- Must have an overall accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
- Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
