CONTENT CREATOR POSITION
Passage Immigration Law helps individuals, businesses and families navigate the U.S. immigration maze. We are located in the Pearl District of Portland, Oregon. Our staff and attorneys work in person every day in our beautiful office.
We are seeking to hire a talented, driven, and adaptable Content Creator to develop, curate, and manage high-quality content that educates, informs, and engages our clients and prospective clients. As a content creator at Passage Immigration Law, you will be responsible for producing written, visual, and video content to strengthen our online presence and amplify our brand voice across various digital platforms. This is a full-time role that will allow you to leverage your creative skills to make a meaningful impact on Passage’s outreach and client engagement efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Content Strategy Development
- Collaborate with the marketing manager to develop and implement a content strategy aligned with Passage’s goals, including lead generation, brand awareness, and client retention.
- Research trends in immigration law and related topics to ensure that content is current, relevant, and valuable to clients and prospects.
- Written Content Creation
- Write blog posts, articles, case studies, and client success stories related to immigration law, policies, and procedures.
- Develop client-facing FAQs, guides, and educational resources that break down complex legal topics into clear, accessible language.
- Create and manage email campaigns, newsletters, and other written communications.
- Social Media Support
- Coordinate with the marketing manager to oversee the firm’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), ensuring consistent, engaging content that resonates with both current and potential clients.
- Work with the marketing manager to develop a posting schedule and content calendar, ensuring a balance of educational, promotional, and engagement-driven content.
- Support the marketing manager in monitoring and analyzing social media trends, audience engagement, and performance metrics to optimize content strategy.
- Video Content Creation
- Plan, script, and record short-form and long-form video content for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Conduct on-camera interviews with attorneys, clients, and industry experts, and produce video case studies, webinars, or Q&A sessions to explain legal processes in a relatable and digestible manner.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a content creator, social media coordinator, or digital marketer, preferably within a law firm, legal services, or a professional services setting.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into easy-to-understand language.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and familiarity with video content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Canva, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, or other editing software).
- Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and visual design.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of immigration law is not required, but an interest in learning about the field is essential.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 2 years previous experience in content marketing as an employee at a company or agency.
SALARY and BENEFITS:
- Salary range $49,000-$59,000. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.
