Camp Hope is seeking a dedicated and experienced summer camp health director to oversee the health and safety of all campers and staff during the camp season. This role is responsible for managing the camp’s health center, administering first aid and medications, maintaining health records, and promoting a safe and healthy camp environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all aspects of camper and staff health and wellness.
- Administering first aid, emergency care, and daily medications as needed.
- Maintaining accurate medical records, incident reports, and health logs.
- Communicating with parents regarding camper health concerns.
- Monitoring and implementing health and safety protocols, including hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Training and educating staff on health-related policies, procedures, and first aid basics.
- Ensuring compliance with New Jersey state health regulations.
- Managing and inventorying medical supplies, ensuring the health center is properly stocked.
- Collaborating with local healthcare professionals and emergency services as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Current RN, LPN, EMT, or other relevant medical certification required.
Experience: Previous experience in a camp, school, or pediatric healthcare setting preferred.
License:
- Valid New Jersey driver's license or government-issued ID required.
- Red Cross standard first aid certification and professional CPR certification required.
