Full Job Description / Overview:
Passion Preschool Educational Childcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director to help oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in early childhood education, and the ability to support and lead a dedicated team of teachers and staff. This role requires the ability to ensure that the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in the daily operation of the preschool and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Oversee curriculum development and classroom management to ensure alignment with educational goals.
- Support and mentor teaching staff, ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed in the classroom.
- Manage enrollment processes, parent communication, and student assessments.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Director to plan staff meetings, events, and professional development opportunities.
- Step in as acting Director when the Director is unavailable.
- Address parent inquiries and concerns professionally, maintaining strong relationships with families.
- Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- At least 12 months of experience in early childhood education or administration.
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Arizona state licensing requirements for childcare centers.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with teachers, staff, children, and parents.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- NAC, CDA, or CCP certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in early childhood education or as a preschool administrator.
- Previous experience in staff management or school administration (preferred).
- Knowledge of curriculum development and classroom management techniques.
