Position Overview
The Avionics Technician II will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading avionics systems for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. This includes the opportunity to work on advanced systems such as Garmin installations and Blackhawk helicopters.

Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install, update, and modify Garmin and other avionics systems for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical and avionics issues using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Helicopter Maintenance: This involves inspecting, repairing, and modifying rotary-wing aircraft such as Blackhawk helicopters in compliance with FAA and military-grade standards.
- Wire Harness Fabrication: Assemble and maintain wiring systems for avionics components.
- FAA Compliance: Ensure detailed logbook entries and adhere to repair station procedures.
- Collaboration: Work with the team to enhance aircraft safety and modifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in avionics maintenance, with civilian (required) and military experience (preferred). The focus is on experience with extensive wire harnessing and avionics repair of rotary-wing and helicopter maintenance.
- Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in Garmin installations and aviation electrical systems.
*Experience with Aspen, Genesis, and Aztek is a plus!
- Aircraft Expertise: Experience with rotary-wing (Blackhawk) helicopter maintenance, wire harness, and fixed-wing platforms (preferred.)
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other avionics test equipment
- FAA compliance experience in aircraft maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot avionics systems using wiring diagrams and schematics
- Experience in safety compliance and quality assurance in aircraft maintenance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. passport
- Certifications: A&P license preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, proactive mindset, and the ability to produce billable hours within the first two weeks
Preferred Characteristics
- Expertise in military-grade avionics systems
- Familiarity with FAA standards and compliance protocols
- Proficiency with avionics test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is a strong advantage.
- Military-grade avionics systems experience.
- Relevant civilian experience in avionics, aircraft maintenance, or equivalent experience
- Personal standard hand tools and toolbox are preferred.
- Blackhawk or similar rotary-wing helicopter mechanic experience preferred.
- Veterans with helicopter avionics systems experience will be given preference.
