A busy and active law firm in Urbana, IL is seeking a candidate for a Legal Assistant position.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting clients with various needs;
- Receiving and sorting daily mail;
- Greeting visitors at the front desk;
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable;
- Prepare and process case documents;
- Returning phone calls or directing messages to appropriate staff;
- Update calendars and schedule meetings;
- Filing, photocopying, and faxing;
- Make daily outbound calls on cases as directed by legal staff.
Requirements:
- Prior clerical experience required, but no specific legal experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Experience with typical office equipment, such as printers, copiers, fax machines;
- Professional attitude and appearance;
- Solid verbal communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Customer service attitude;
- Multitasking and time-management skills.
Pay will be commensurate with experience.
