Responsibilities:- Shaping the culture of a growing College Achieve Paterson Charter School community.
- Establishing high expectations for each new class of students.
- Working as part of an entrepreneurial team to create policies, curricula, and instructional methods.
- Planning a program of study that meets individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
- Creating a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Preparing lessons that reflect best practices and accommodations for individual differences of students.
- Guiding the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
- Employing a variety of instructional techniques and media consistent with best practices.
- Assessing student learning in an ongoing manner and providing feedback.
- Maintaining accurate student records.
- Assisting the administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life.
- Participating in all professional development opportunities, and maintaining open lines of communication with students, parents, and community members.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- New Jersey Teacher Certificate (K-6, K-8, or subject specific endorsement) OR Eligibility for Certification.
- Ability to establish rapport with families and children.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency using computers, printers, copy machines, and fax machines.
- Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative.
- Possession of a passionate and loving attitude toward all children, and a sense of urgency to ensure every student gets to and through college.

- Willingness to be an active member of a professional learning community.
Salary : $45 - $55
