Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at PathGroup, performing daily phlebotomy activities accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection duties, reducing patient anxiety through clear explanations and a calm environment.
- Complete requisitions accurately, entering patient information into the computer system.
- Process specimens according to established procedures, disposing of biohazard materials properly.
- Assist with inventory counts, reporting shortages and issues to supervisors as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Phlebotomist Certification is desirable, especially in Louisiana.
- Prior experience in a related role is advantageous.
