Maintenance Porter

The Maintenance Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the property, including offices, common areas, break rooms and bathrooms. In addition to daily cleaning tasks, the Janitor will also assist with refreshing units when a resident moves out. This includes tasks such as removing furniture and trash, repainting, and ensuring that the apartments are ready for new residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

General Cleaning:

• Maintain the cleanliness of all office spaces, break rooms, and bathrooms on the property.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust various areas.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and countertops in bathrooms and kitchens.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners in all areas.
• Ensure common areas are stocked with necessary supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces in office areas, bathrooms, and common spaces.

Move-Out Cleaning & Unit Refreshing:

• Assist in moving out and disposing of any unwanted furniture, trash, or personal items left behind in vacated units.
• Clean and sanitize apartments after move-out, including scrubbing kitchens, bathrooms, and all living spaces.
• Repaint and refresh apartments as needed to ensure they are in top condition for new tenants.
• Touch up any surfaces that require cleaning or maintenance, including walls, floors, and cabinetry.

General Maintenance Support:

• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.

Additional Duties:

• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as directed.
• Keep cleaning supplies organized and well-stocked.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving furniture.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Flexibility to work on weekends or evenings if required for move-outs or special projects.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

No certifications needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
