Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a critical member of the executive leadership team, responsible for all financial activities and ensuring the company’s continued growth. This role requires a blend of strategic vision and hands-on leadership, particularly in real estate finance, portfolio investment analysis, and capital markets.

The CFO will work closely with the CEO to secure financing for new developments, optimize investment performance, and strengthen relationships with lenders and institutional partners.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s growth and expansion.
  • Provide financial insights to guide decision-making, focusing on optimizing long-term value creation.
  • Lead market assessments, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

Capital Raising & Financing

  • Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, private equity partners, and other capital sources.
  • Secure financing for real estate developments and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Manage cash flow to align with operational and development timelines.
  • Portfolio & Investment Management

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance across a growing portfolio of multifamily properties.
  • Conduct detailed investment performance analysis and identify value enhancement opportunities.
  • Develop financial models to support development and disposition strategies.
  • Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Coordinate audits and maintain compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
  • Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to market expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations across jurisdictions.
  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team with expertise in real estate investment and development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in real estate development or investment management.
  • Proven success in securing financing for large-scale real estate projects.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, portfolio management, and capital markets.
