Position Overview
A leading distribution and service company is seeking an experienced and driven Controller to lead and manage accounting operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting strategic decision-making, and overseeing all day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in accounting, a passion for process improvement, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements and reports to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
- Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning to support business growth and stability.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Support external auditors during audits and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
