Clinical Assessor
The Clinical Assessor is responsible for conducting the initial screening, intake, assessment, and diagnostic impression to ensure that an initial treatment plan is developed that will identify the services needed for ongoing care. Clinical Assessors are also responsible for coordinating care with other assigned clinicians, peer support, and medical practitioners, working within the Pathways Developmental Services, Inc. systems of care network (Lauris and SAR’S).
Applicants should possess good clinical documentation skills, disorders, and the ability to work within a fast-paced behavioral health crisis environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental and behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for patients, including those with PTSD and developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training in addiction counseling and related fields.
Skills / Requirements
The assessor must contact the individual within 24 hrs. to schedule assessment. The assessor must schedule assessment within 48 hours if possible.
Candidates must hold a master’s degree or higher in a discipline related to behavioral health.
Candidates should possess good clinical documentation skills, disorders, and the ability to work within a fast-paced behavioral health crisis environment.
Students in a behavioral health discipline are strongly encouraged to apply as the position will offer a wealth of knowledge and experience often not offered in a classroom setting.
