Job Description
Pathways In Education is a non-profit organization that partners with public schools and other organizations to run guided distance learning, dropout prevention & recovery programs, college tours, overnight trips, and Experiential Learning Programs that enhance team work, resiliency, leadership, communication and social emotional learning. The primary responsibility of the Program Facilitator is to manage the day to day activities of the designated program area, overseeing program content and initiatives.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*
- Organizes and facilitates respective Pathways in Educations’ program area throughout the year for at-risk high school students.
- Build relationships with client school staff to create a seamless, open flow of communication between all parties involved.
- Ensure all documents and program roll out information is up to date and complete.
- Hire, train and supervise staff who will assist facilitating designated program area.
- Evaluate staff performance and serve as contact person for problem resolution or guidance.
- Conduct in-service training programs and supervises new staff development.
- Perform other functions and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong facilitation skills that align to working with at-risk high school students.
- Strong communication skills to foster relatable relationships with both students and staff.
- Ability to train, direct and delegate responsibility to staff.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment, in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to synergize with colleagues and corporate staff to effectively manage assigned program area.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem-solving skills, while maintaining courtesy, professionalism, and a customer service attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to travel as needed
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Teaching Credential preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have experience working with a wide range of populations (both youth and adult clients from diverse backgrounds)
- Program Facilitator coordinating the Cuba Trips must have a basic understanding of Spanish.
Pay: $64,480.00/yr
