JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Business Partner II is well rounded individual in all Human Resources functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, assisting on the day-to-day operations of the HR Department, recruitment, onboarding, new hire orientation and training, HRIS system maintenance, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and payroll. Will assist in other duties e.g., employee relations, policy implementation, FMLA/LOA and all other leaves, annual performance management affirmative action and employment law compliance. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline highly preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven HR experience in an exempt role required.  
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR, FPC, and/or CPP certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADP platform or other comparable payroll/HR system required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of wage and hour laws.
  • Excellent people skills, flexible; good judgment, ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information; customer service oriented.
  • Self-directed individual with ability to work individually as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability of multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to the changes of a continuously changing environment.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of company employees.
  • Possesses sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good business judgment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Manage full cycle payroll process including expense report audits, 401k administration.
  • Manage benefit process including open enrollment and ongoing benefit needs.
  • Develop agreements for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Ongoing I9 compliance and credentialing via E-Verify.
  • Complete onboarding cycle of new hires including creation of new hire files.
  • Complete offboarding cycle of terminated employment including unemployment requests, and employment verifications for past employees.
  • Manage workers compensation reporting and documentation.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity retention. 
  • Provide input into departmental structure & design.
  • Partner with designated leaders to uphold all compliance standards (ACHC, Dept. of Labor, HR policies, etc.) and create an environment of compliance/excellence. 
  • Assist in the coordination of events e.g., holiday celebrations, employee recognition, service awards, community support among others.  
  • Collaborate in the implementation of strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-state organization.
  • Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring manager and business leaders to maximize effectiveness of recruiting process.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructure, workforce planning and succession planning. 
  • Identify training needs for department and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of the training programs to ensure success. Follow-up to ensure objectives are met. 
  • Assist in leave process including FMLA, ADA, personal leaves. 
  • Work with the VP of Administration to support Labor Relations strategies (i.e., grievance procedures, suspensions, terminations).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or mandated by company needs.
