JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Business Partner is a rounded individual in all Human Resources functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, assisting with the day-to-day operations of the HR Department, recruitment, onboarding, new hire orientation and training, HRIS system maintenance, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and payroll. Will assist in other duties e.g., employee relations, policy implementation, FMLA/LOA and all other leaves, annual performance management affirmative action, and employment law compliance. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is highly preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven HR experience in an exempt role is required.  
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR, FPC, and/or CPP certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADP platform or other comparable payroll/HR systems is required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of wage and hour laws.
  • Excellent people skills, flexible; good judgment, ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information; customer service oriented.
  • Self-directed individual with the ability to work individually as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to the changes of a continuously changing environment.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of company employees.
  • Possesses sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good business judgment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-state organization. 
  • Manage full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels. 
  • Create and implement recruiting strategies to attract passive job seekers.
  • Work with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
  • Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring managers and business leaders to maximize the effectiveness of the recruiting process.
  • Regular follow-up with respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system.
  • Create and update job descriptions.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships build morale and increase productivity retention. 
  • Develop agreements for new hires, promotions, and transfers. 
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructure, workforce planning,g and succession planning. 
  • Identifies training needs for department and individual coaching needs. Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of the training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure objectives are met. 
  • Work with the Chief Administrative & Compliance Officer to support Labor Relations strategies (i.e., grievance procedures, suspensions, terminations).
  • Assist with the payroll process, benefits process, offboarding, workers' compensation, and leave process including FMLA, ADA, and personal leaves. 
  • Partner with designated leaders to uphold all compliance standards (ACHC, Dept. of Labor, HR policies, etc.) and create an environment of compliance/excellence. 
  • Assist in the coordination of events e.g. holiday celebrations, employee recognition, service awards, and community support among others.  
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or mandated by company needs.
