JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Support I staff member provides the safe stocking and packing of the appropriate products for patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company, the state’s professional standards, and other regulatory entities. Responsibilities include labeling and packaging of medications and supplies, inventory and stocking duties, and warehouse cleaning and organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma of equivalent
- One to two years’ experience in warehouse and/or delivery operations.
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Self-directed with excellent time management skills and able to work within a schedule.
- Current valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
- Ability to get to the job site.
- Ability to work under busy/stressful conditions.
- Prior experience working in an infusion pharmacy or home medical equipment operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pull stock and supplies to fill patient orders.
- Appropriately pack, label and seal coolers/packages containing patient medications and supplies.
- Assist with the coordination of deliveries of shipments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all orders are properly checked prior to delivery or shipment.
- Receive and sign for vendor orders, verify the accuracy of orders and store product appropriately.
- Receive and maintain certification for operation of heavy equipment (i.e., forklift) and safely operate other necessary equipment for moving/transporting stock (i.e., pallet jacks)
- Ensure that all lighting fixtures and safety devices are in working order.
- Maintain the warehouse and receiving/shipping area in a clean, organized, professional and safe manner.
- Maintain safe storage of sharps and bio-medical waste.
- Ensure patient equipment is cleaned and stored in an organized fashion.
- Comply with state and federal laws.
- Adhere to appropriate safety practices as required to comply with state and federal laws.
- Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
- Other duties as directed or assigned by management.
