What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Management Assistant position at Patient First?
The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:
- Posting credit cards and returned checks;
- Preparing remittances for posting;
- Posting payments manually and electronically;
- Mailing back checks to senders that cannot be posted;
- Batching all incoming checks;
- Determining where to apply monies on checks that are unable to be located;
- Balancing deposits and verifying correct cash amounts as assigned;
- Ensuring the department’s copiers are working properly and requesting service for the equipment if needed;
- Providing assistance to other team members as directed;
- Locating forms in the warehouse and completing scanning requests for other Cash Management staff;
- Distributing mail to appropriate parties in the department and processing returned mail as directed;
- Ordering supplies;
- Researching and assisting with special projects as directed;
- Using and operating office equipment as trained.
Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Employee must be 18 years or older;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Ability to work independently and as a team;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask;
- Good analytical skills.
